TicWatch Pro 3
There are interesting developments with TicWatch smartwatches. First, let’s start with an unobtrusive TicWatch Pro 3 type view. In a recent video posted by Italian YouTuber Andrea Galeazzi, the host is on the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra GPS camera.
We have “not yet” this ultra model of TicWatch Pro 3 GPS. It is said to run the Snapdragon 4100+ platform, a slightly updated chip that is slightly more efficient than the non-plus version. It has a new co-processor that uses less power when using the always-on-display feature in Wear OS.
The presenter doesn’t say much about the smartwatch in the video, he just shows the camera and the box. In addition to mentioning an upgraded chip, we can see that the clock on the box has a slightly different appearance to the bezel, which is a bit thinner than the Pro 3 and has less appearance.
Less than 24 hours after this video was posted, Al-Reports reports that Mobvoi has quietly changed listings of icons for TicWatch Pro 3 GPS and TicWatch E3 to appear on their own store and on Amazon Powerful were the updated Snapdragon Wear 4100+, an updated platform that runs Fossil’s General 6 smartwatches.
Mobvoi has not officially announced these changes, but it looks like the company’s new inventory may actually be on the new chipset. Granted, the change will not be as noticeable as the change between the SoCs is incremental.
We are still curious as to what the “ultra” variants are in the video above. Does this mean that markets from the US will be a model for markets or will Moboi sell only Pro3 and Pro3 Ultra? We have reached out to Mobio for clarification.
