It is unrealistic for Samsung and Qualcomm’s processors to surpass Apple, but no chip manufacturer is willing to be suppressed forever. Even if it cannot surpass Apple, there is still hope for Samsung to challenge Qualcomm. In particular, the upcoming Orion 2200 will support AMD’s GPU, which has greatly improved performance. Now some parameters of the Orion 2200 have been exposed again.
According to the blogger Ice Universe, the Samsung Orion 2200 will adopt a three-cluster architecture, which is 1×Cortex-X2 2.9GHz+3×2.8GHz+4×2.2GHz. This combination configuration is exactly the same as the Snapdragon 898, and the frequency is the same as last year’s Orion.
The frequency of AMD GPU is 1250MHz, which is lower than the previous rumors. It seems that Samsung is still relatively conservative. Not sure whether the final mass production version will maintain this data meter, or whether it will continue to reduce the frequency for the sake of heat.
The news also said that this ultra-high frequency is limited to Samsung S22 Ultra, and the Samsung S22/S22+ frequency is not the same. It seems that this is to learn from Samsung, only the top version is equipped with a full-blooded processor. I don’t know if Apple will make another bad start. Will Qualcomm Xiaolong 898 also learn this way?
Next is the fast charging of the Samsung S22 series, and the authentication of the Samsung 65W fast charging head has been reported before. However, the latest news shows that the Samsung S22 ultra does not have 65W fast charging and supports up to 45W, but Samsung will add new charging technology.
Regarding the Samsung S22 and S22+ cameras, they use Samsung GN5, which was just released some time ago. The sensor size is 1/1.57 inches, a single pixel of 1.0μm, and supports Dual Pixel Pro omnidirectional autofocus technology. The other two lenses are 12MP super wide-angle and 3X 10MP telephoto lenses. The front camera is 10 million pixels.
Samsung S22 Ultra is rumored to use a 200-megapixel main camera. Now it seems that Samsung is not so aggressive. The front camera is still 40 million pixels, and the rear 100 million pixels main camera has four cameras. Both the main camera and the ultra-wide-angle support OIS optical image stabilization and S-Pen.
Samsung S22 series will continue to use the perforated screen design. The sizes of the three mobile phones will be around 6.1, 6.6, and 6.8 inches. The two regular versions will have 120Hz screens, and the S22 Ultra will have 120Hz dynamic refresh rate screens. The battery capacity has been connected to the network before, respectively, 3800 mAh, 4600 mAh, and 5000 mAh.
